SILLAH IMPROVES LOCAL FARMING (SILFA) is looking for experienced professionals to join our team and contribute to agricultural transformation through knowledge, technology, and sustainability. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

1. Agronomist (CropNourish Lead)
📍 Location: SILFA working locations (Sierra Leone)

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert guidance on crop nutrition, soil health, and pest control.
Develop and implement fertilization and disease management programs.
Conduct field trials and assess crop performance for continuous improvement.
Train farmers and staff on best agricultural practices.
Prepare technical reports and analysis.
🔹 Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in crop production and farm advisory services.
Strong knowledge of soil management, fertilizers, and pest control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
2. Farm Manager
📍 Location: SILFA working locations (Sierra Leone)

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily farm operations, including greenhouse and open-field production.
Supervise and train farm workers to enhance productivity.
Implement crop schedules, irrigation, and fertilization plans.
Maintain farm equipment and enforce safety standards.
Monitor farm performance and generate reports.
🔹 Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in farm management with a proven track record.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in vegetable farming (greenhouse and open-field) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and planning.
 
3. Irrigation Specialist
📍 Location: SILFA working locations (Sierra Leone)

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, and manage irrigation systems for greenhouse and field crops.
Monitor and optimize irrigation efficiency for sustainable water use.
Train farm staff on irrigation best practices and system maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment when needed.
Document water usage and system performance.
🔹 Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in irrigation system management with a strong track record.
Extensive knowledge of drip irrigation and water conservation techniques.
Ability to work in the field and provide hands-on training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
